Well, what can I say. Bev went to work and because I was up I went out on the bike, took myself a bit of food and drink to keep me going and headed for Alnmouth along the “Coast & Castles” National Cycle Network Route 1. I love this route but usually only go as far as Amble where I cut off to go visit my mam. Decided this time I was heading for Alnmouth which is further up the coast (20 miles from home). Was a lovely day and the sun was out all day. After reaching Alnmout I decided to head inland and go home a different way as they’d been working on the cycle path between Warkworth and Alnmouth and had a hole across the path and the surface scraped for part of it, rough. Headed towards Almouth Station and found out it was a hill, that kept on going, and going, and going… Bloody hell were my legs burning by the time I got to the top, dunno how I managed it, hate hills! Anyway, let’s put that behind me ;-) By the end of the ride I could feel my legs tiring but made it home safely. Took a few pics whle I was out so here you go.
