Just a quickie to say you get some idiots on the road. Out with Jade in her car today and the ‘L’ plates must be like a red rag to a bull. It started off with people overtaking her in stupid places, on bends, with cars coming towards them and on chevrons, and ended with someone trying to overtake parked cars and squeeze past on her side of the road and clipping her wing mirror shattering the glass. Not the sort of thing any learner needs. I like to think I always give learners a little more room and leeway than I would a normal driver so why can’t others do the same?

It wasn’t possible for her to drive home after the mirror incident as she didn’t feel she could do so without a mirror so it was up to me to drive home but luckily she had an official driving lesson an our or so later so didn’t have time to dwell on it before she was back in the car.

Would just like to add that she did rather well after the incident, she didn’t panic and pulled safely over to the side of the road so the damage could be surveyed, thankfully just shattered mirror glass (and nerves) so easy to replace.

Feel a bit better now after that, thanks for listening ;)
