I’m going to try and compile a list of bands that I saw in 2012, I’ll probably miss a few at first but will keep coming back and updating it as I go along and will hopefully end up with a definitive list, once complete I’ll try and go back to it to add links to the bands. If I can remember I’ll say where I saw them, obviously some will be more memorable than others :-) So in no particular order:-

 

  1. The Blisters – “Punk”, saw these loads, won’t miss a gig if possible
  2. LoGOz – “Pop Punk”, saw these loads, also won’t miss a gig if possible, help out with gear and sound so catch most.
  3. Underline Hero – “Punk”, caught these once but have their tracks on my iPhone, will catch more when possible
  4. Ball of Mayhem – “Melodic Metal”, saw 4 or 5 times, won’t miss if I can help it.
  5. Dust Town Dogs – “Acoustic Adaptive Up-tempo Multiple Genre Miscellany”, Caught at Mighty Dub Fest and looking forward to them at Bubbles in 2013
  6. Bessie & The Zinc Buckets – “Rockabilly Mayhem to the Masses!!!”, Also at MDF and caught them at Bubbles later in the year too
  7. Razordrive – Supported LoGOz, canny.
  8. Trampled Underfoot – Excellent rock covers, caught a few times
  9. The Projected Sound – Supported Trampled at their Christmas gig, will catch them again.
  10. Sticky Fingers – Rock covers band, will definitely catch them again.
  11. One Eyed Jack – @ The Three Tuns
  12. Red Letters – @ The Three Tuns
  13. Don’t Shoot The Bear – @ The Three Tuns
  14. The Half Cuts – Love these guys, short sharp punk and a kazoo at times
  15. The Symptoms – Great punk sound, saw them a few times
  16. Shut Up – Cracking Ska band, saw them a couple of times and can’t wait to see again.
  17. Penetration – Classic punk from the 70’s, Pauline Murray and her band, awesome.
  18. Go Go Midgets – cracking tunes and opener for Penetration
  19. Collision – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  20. Mojo Hand – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  21. Warning! – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival and other venues
  22. St James Infirmary – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival – 84A5A is a cracker!
  23. Panic Report – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  24. The Pulse – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  25. Vinyl Jacket – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  26. Sorry For Nothing – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  27. Modern Colours – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  28. Too Close For Comfort – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  29. Last Transmission – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  30. Parastatic – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  31. Eleventh Hour – @ Woodhorn Lane Music Festival
  32. Snide Remarks – Great band and cracking set of lads, waiting to see them again
  33. Crackdown – short lived band, pre LoGOz starter for 2 of the members
  34. The Blitz – saw these lads a couple of times, cracking
  35. The Hostiles – Cracking Ska band with brass, all the way from Scotland
  36. Mickey Oliver – Acoustic punk, good stuff
  37. Supercharger – Supercharged sound, excellent.
  38. Sinking Fast – Shouty but good stuff
  39. The Disagreeables – very agreeable actually.
  40. NE/DC– An awesome Bon era AC/DC covers band, sounded bloody great.
  41. The Cadillacs – Awesome rock’n’roll covers band
  42. Giraffe House – Caught these when they supported Ball of Mayhem, will be checking them out again on Thursday (10th Jan)
  43. Digits – “High Octane Alt-Rock” Great sound, can’t wait to catch them again
  44. Mother Firefly – “Bouncy energetic rock” Saw these at the beginning of the year
  45. Jen Stevens & The Hiccups – “cheeky brand of brave folk/blues/jazz pop (with definite rock influences!)”
