Busy are Wii
Wow it’s been busy at work, who’d have thought there could be so many parcels. I’m basically working full time at the moment, actually just more than full time as I work my day off too. Worked out my overtime to get an idea of what back pay I will get on Friday, as our backdated pay rise is on, and since October 1st I’ve worked approx 140hrs overtime. I am still on the same duty I have been on since beginning of November but basically sort it from start to finish myself now so haven’t been working as many hours after my shift is due to finish because I’ve actually been getting out on time. Latest I’ve done is 1hr over and that’s due to busier times and it taking longer to deliver.
Yesterday, after waiting since June for delivery, our Nintendo Wii arrived. What a great piece of kit, fun for all the family, even Bev enjoys it and she hates game consoles. We only have 2 games currently, Wii Sports, which is great fun for all the family and Rayman: Raving Rabbids, which is addictive and also great fun :D I was bowling earlier and now have a sore shoulder, better be careful, don’t want to have to ring work and say I can’t go in due to a Wii related injury :D
Last night was Bethany’s Christmas concert at school, this year she was only in the choir and even though she was at the back as far away from the microphone as she could get I could still hear her over everyone else, scary! It was an enjoyable night, the kids always work so hard to get everything as good as they can and have fun while they’re doing it. It should have been Bev going but due to an electrical emergency causing problems with her baking she was still busy when the time came to leave so I stepped in, keeps up my run of not missing a show, ever! :) This is Bethany’s final year at Middle School and she’ll be off to High School next year where, if Jade is anything to go by, we won’t be required to attend everything they do, or even be told there’s a show half the time. I have to try and grab an hour from work next friday so as to see her get a certificate in her assembly before she leaves for Christmas and then I’ll have Easter and Summer assemblies to try and get to so I can then retire undefeated having attended every one for all our kids through first and middle school!
Signing off tonight with: [Christmas Time Is Here by Steve Vai] from the album [Merry Axemas – A Guitar Christmas] [01:27/04:29]
