Camp Collapsible #2
Well, following on from the Camp Collapsible post from 2nd May I have an update on the tent situation, it’s crap! Wasn’t a bad tent we got last time it was a badly designed tent we got. Flexible poles for all parts of the tent apart from the doorway where the poles were rigid and that’s where they snapped. They went again today on the replacement tent we got and this time the tent will be going back and we’ll get our money back. Then all we have to do is try to find a new tent for just as good a price as this one. Apart from the rigid poles at the doorway it’s a great tent, a nice size when up and a nice size when rolled and packed up, it’s just very badly designed. :(
Unfortunately this means that we can’t go back up at the weekend like we planned unless our old tent (which is still up at my mams) will last a little while longer with a good selection of tape to cover any holes/tears in the material. Our last tent has lasted 17 years and even though it’s a little worse for wear it’s probably still better than the new tent we got :)

But probably weighs a ton being that old!
Good luck on the tent hunt.

Indeed it does weigh a ton, it’s a frame tent and is huge. Main reason we got the one we did this time and didn’t go for another frame tent was that we wanted to cycle with it, not possible with a frame tent :(
Thanks for wishing us luck, we may need it :D
