Kids just love camping and it seems they don’t care where they are. We are at my mams farm, 2.5miles from home at the other end of Ashington. We’re stuck in a field (populated by cows and sheep before we got there) and the kids are loving every minute of it, they don’t care that they’re still within cycling/walkingdistance of home. We’ve spent 3 days with the same 4 hedges to stare at and still they want more, we were due to come home today because Bev is at work tonight but I’ve been bullied into letting them stay at least another night so I’m back to check mail and update some stuff etc. before going back.

It does help that my 2 sisters and their families are there now too although they didn’t turn up till yesterday and we’ve been there since Saturday. Weather hasn’t treat us too badly, although today is a bit overcast and some rain has fallen it’s not that cold, Sunday was the same and the kids still spent most of the day outside.

Because we elected to leave the dogs at home, due to newborn lambs and calves, I have done 40+ miles on my bike in my relaxing time away, by coming home regularly to walk and feed them, and still more to go. :)

Ah well, time to rack up more miles and return.
