and my postings have slowed considerably. It’s not that stuff worth blogging about hasn’t happened, more that I just haven’t got round to doing it. Like a family BBQ where family came and we had fun, World Cup of course ( :( ) and a few other things. I like to post at night, around this time but lately I’ve just been coming here, sorting a few things out, catching up on other things that I’ve not done through the day (because it’s summer, sunny and the garden calls :D ) and then going to bed.

One thing from last week I have to mention because I’m proud is Bethany in her school concert. She’s always in the thick of things and is in the concerts normally as part of a group of musicians (she plays clarinet) but this time she had quite a large part. All year she has been going to drama club after school and they decided that some of the play was to be added to the summer concert. They are doing Wizard of Oz and Bethany is playing the part of Dorothy, it’s a role share, she does one part of the play and another girl does the other. In the concert they had 4 items from the play of which Bethany was doing 3 and the other girl 1 (I’m not gloating honest ;) ). They each did their bits, with musical/singing interludes between each section. The final bit was Bethany singing ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ solo and she was fantastic. Even though we’ve heard it for months as she’s been practicing in her bedroom, or anywhere else she can, it sounded so much better when she was standing up in front of the audience alone.
