Well it seems my line may have decided on it’s new speed, it has sync’d at 7616 for the past few days and checking out the PlusNet page for Stable Rate shows:-

Your High-speed Broadband Service
Your current broadband speed is 7000
What does this speed mean?
This is the speed that BT are telling us you should expect on your line.

I’m happy with that, unfortunately this doesn’t mean that torrents will come down any quicker as I seem to choose the slow ones :) It does mean that other stuff will come down a lot quicker though – Transfer Completed – 358401 KB, 12 min 35.683 sec, 474.3 KB/sec with it peaking at 550-600k/s the odd time.
